Kelechi Iheanacho, the Nigerian international striker is the receiver of the match ball Sunday afternoon after getting his first Premier League hat-trick in the game against Sheffield United at the King Power stadium.
After some impressive performances for Manchester City, he joined Leicester City after finding games hard to come by due to the potency of sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in front of goal at the Etihad Stadium.
After somewhat struggling at the King Power initially, sometimes coming on from the bench, Iheanacho has finally hit the ground running with some decent output in recent games.
He got his first hat-trick today when strugglers Sheffield United visited the King Power.
The first of his three goals came when strike partner, Jamie Vardy squared a neat ball into his path from the left which he calmly slotted past Ramsdale in the Sheffield goal.
Leicester were in search of the three points to go second on the league table above Manchester United who battle the Hammers at Old Trafford later in the day.
They were assured of the points when Spaniard Ayoze Perez made it 2-0 to the Foxes in the 64th minute.
Iheanacho’s second goal came just five minutes after Ayoze Perez put the Foxes two goals ahead when he made it 3-0.
He sealed his first Premier League hat-trick with a thunderous strike that left Ramsdale helpless to make it 4-0.
An unfortunate own-goal by on-loan Chelsea player Ethan Ampadu in the 80th minute sealed the points for the Foxes who sealed a 5-0 win to go second above Manchester United ahead of the latter’s game against West Ham at the Old Trafford.
