Fella Makafui reveals why Ghanaian talents are struggling to reach their potential

Fella Makafui, the actress and wife of Ghanaian rapper, Medikal has revealed what she thinks is wrong with the supper talented Ghanaian artists who struggle out there to reach the heights their talents could take them.

There have been conversations on social media following the conclusion of the Grammys awards where Nigerian artists won awards with Ghanaian acts conspicuously missing.

For Fella Makafui, it is not because Ghana lacks talents but the fact, according to her, is that the abundant talents that we have either lack connections, do not support one another, or do not have any special love for one another.

Fella Makafui’s observation is not out of place as we often see these talented artists of ours do themselves dirty just to make the headlines.

There appears to be a situation where no one of them wants to support the other because they will usurp them.

Whiles artists elsewhere also have their issues, they seem to have some sort of support for one another, the same cannot be said of our people.

The actress made the observation on the social messaging site Twitter where she wrote:

“Ghana got loads of talents, like really talented, creative souls. The only thing we lack be the connections, support, and Love for one another!!! Hmm”

It is time that our artists start supporting themselves and working together if they want to reach the heights their superior talents deserve.
