Black Sherif, a musician from Ghana, was named Best Hip Hop act at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival in 2023 in Nigeria.

With his worldwide hit, “Kwaku The Traveller” Ghanaian musician Black Sherif took home the coveted Best Hip Hop Act award at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, which was hosted at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, Nigeria.

The 21-year-old beat over tough competition from artists like Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones, South Africa’s Nasty C and AKA, Nigeria’s Blaqbones, and Ladipoe to win with his international hit, “Kwaku The Traveller.”

The Villain I Never Was, a highly anticipated album by Black Sherif, was released in October of last year and received positive reviews from a wide range of digital streaming platforms.

His distinctive fusion of highlife, afrobeat, and trap has led to the emergence of a huge fan base, and his live performances are renowned for his vigor and engagement.
