Abirem For Peace Campaign

The road to election is full of fear because tensions are always high during this time.

The church of Pentecost in collaboration with the local churches and the Chiefs and elders of Abirem Organized a campaign (Abirem For Peace Campaign) to preach peace before ,during and after the elections.

The program took place on Sunday 15th November,2020 at the Abirem Durban grounds .

The Chief Of Abirem and President of Birim North house of Chiefs  Nana Amo Kyeretwie Address the gathering Admonishing all the various political parties especially the aspirants to ensure there is peace in the District. He added that so many countries such as Liberia ,Ivory cost etc.were destroyed by political violence and so they should ensure that peace continue to reign in the district and the country as a whole.

The chief said,” that the purpose of the campaign is to make the various parties pledge that they will ensure peace before during and after the elections.

He also asked the security agencies to reveal their plans towards the elections.

Also the NCCE is also expected to educate the public on the voting process so as not to engage in battle.

“If there’s no peace there’s no development,if there’s no peace there’s no business,  so let’s observe peace” Nana Amo Said.

Members of Parliament aspirants present were ,Prince-lord of GUM,Hon.Mavis AMA Frimpong of NDC,Hon.John Osei Frempong Of NPP ,Kwadwo Apau of LPG, who all pledged for peace.
